My end of year goals

October has arrived (already!) but that doesn’t mean it is too late to start setting goals for the rest of the year.

In fact, I highly encourage it! Waiting for 2020 is a great idea – if you love wasting 3 months of your life waiting for the future.
Why wait when you can start working towards your goals today!

Why I have decided to write this post

This post is part of my Blogtober challenge (you can read more about what that is here)

At first, I thought it was a little out of my niche’s range, but then I realised that it really isn’t! It sits smack bang in the middle.

Goals are important for so many reasons, they help growth within yourself and your life as well as give your mental health something positive to focus on.

So that is why I am going to share with you my own goals that I hope to hit by the end of the year!

My end of year goals

It is important when setting goals that you keep them realistic enough to achieve but hard enough that you need to work for them!

Saying “I want to write a post on my end of year goals” isn’t much of a challenge, but saying “I want to write 10 posts on goal setting” is!

That is why my goal limit for this is 6 – 2 for each category.
Reasonable enough for the remaining 3 months of the year, but not too overwhelming that I don’t get anything done!

Personal Goals

1. Lose 10kg

My weight has long been a struggle for me, but with my wedding day getting closer (yay!), it’s time to really kick my ass into gear. So I have 3 months to lose 10kg!

2. Create a skincare routine

My skin used to be mostly great – a little dry but blemish-free.
Ever since I moved to a tropical, humid environment, things have greatly changed!
My skin is oily, blemishy and ick.
So I aim to set up a skincare routine for myself and have it as part of my daily routine by 2020.

Blog Goals

3. Get an additional 100 email subscribers

My mailing list has been on the backburner of my to-do list for quite a long time now. So I am going to focus on it and gain an additional 100 subscribers!
(If you want to help with this and be part of the MG Family, you can sign up here!)

4. Write 50 more blog posts

You are probably thinking “Woah! 50! Ease up a bit, girly!”.
This target isn’t entirely unrealistic, but only because I am participating in Blogtober!

Family & Friend Goals

5. Take Luna to the park 12 times

This one may seem a bit silly, but it is actually my favourite challenge that I have set myself!
This challenge means I get to spend more quality time with my gorgeous tornado and it is set so that we go to the park at least once a week until the end of the year!

6. See at least 10 of my friends when I visit home

At the end of this month, I will be travelling back home to see family and friends. I am so excited to see my favourite humans, but I know that it will be a challenge to fit as many in as possible.
So if I can see at least 10 of them in the 2 week period, I’ll be satisfied!

What are your end of year goals?
